We would like to thank everyone for coming out and showing your support at our Grand Opening Celebration on June 29th, 2013!  It was an exhilarating experience!  You have made the event extra special and memorable. Everybody is like family, and it will continue to grow with amazing friendships, fun adventures and success. There’s nothing better than having a nurturing, harmonious, and empowering environment filled with positive energy all around.

Tiger Claw’s Championship Tournament is Tomorrow, Saturday, June 1st, 2013!

To all Kungfu Dragon USA competitors, the tournament is tomorrow!  Just in case you don’t remember  🙂  Ah, the thrill of the tournament.  It’s going to be exciting!

Are you all ready?  I’m sure you are.

You can visit Tiger Claw’s website here to get more information to prepare for the event:

Day before Competition

• Keep the training light and easy – work on technique
• Review with Sifu on the objectives of the competition – focus and performance
• Check and pack all the equipment you will need for competition. Use an equipment checklist to ensure nothing is forgotten
• Organize food and drink required for the competition
• Check directions to the venue and plan to leave early so as to allow for any delay en route.
• Have a high carbohydrate dinner
• Watch a video of good performers in your style/category.
• Get 7 or 8 hours sleep

Morning of Competition

• Allow plenty of time between waking and leaving for the competition venue.
• Carry out some light stretching before breakfast.
• Conduct mental rehearsal of your warm up and competition.
• Have a good healthy breakfast. Do not eat or drink anything that will upset your stomach.
• Pack all the required equipment, food and drink
• Leave with plenty of time to reach the venue

Kungfu Taichi Day Performance – June 2nd, 2013

KFDUSA will be closed after 1pm on Sunday, June 2nd, 2013 for Kungfu Taichi Day martial arts demonstration in San Jose, CA.

Demo Team members who will be participating in the Kungfu Taichi Day martial arts demonstration can meet at Kungfu Dragon USA at 12:30p for carpooling.  Any member interested in participating, please let Sifu Long know.
